We are located:
30 minutes drive from Pau Pyrenees International Aiport, with direct flights from London Standsted, Bristol (with Ryanair) and further UK airports via Paris (Air France).
15 minutes drive from Orthez train station with rail links to Paris by TER. (SNCF in French).
Approx 30 minutes drive from Dax TGV station with TGV links to Paris (approx 4 hours). Tickets via SNCF or Rail Europe.
1 hour drive from Biarritz International Airport with direct flights to London Standsted, Birmingham and Dublin (Ryanair) and connections to Paris (Air France)
2 hours drive from Toulouse International Airport with connecting flights to most UK cities with British Airways and Air France
3 hours drive from Bilbao ferry terminal in northern Spain, from Portsmouth (P&O Ferries).
3.5 hours drive from Santander ferry terminal in northern Spain, from Plymouth (Brittanny Ferries).
A car is necessary should you wish to explore the area. Should you not be bringing your own car, aranging car hire in the UK is far cheaper, however numerous French budget car hire companies are available at Pau airport.
We do offer an airport pickup and drop off service from Pau Pyrenees Airport for 15 Euros each way.
By car:
Bassercles is 7km from Sault de Navailles on the D50. Cross the River Béarne in Sault de Navailles and take the next right after the school at the Tower ruins, signposted Bassercles. Sault de Navailles is 38km from Pau airport on the D945, or 15 minutes from Orthez town heading north on the D933.
